Call for abstracts and special tracks

Important information: final deadline for abstract submission: February 23, 2025.
Please, submit your oral abstract here and your poster abstracts here.

We are pleased to invite you to submit an abstract for the 31st Annual Conference of ISDRS, which will be hosted by Corvinus University of Budapest, Hungary, from July 8th to 12th, 2025.

The concept of sustainable development, introduced over three decades ago, has become integral to contemporary science, policymaking, and business practices. However, the world has undergone substantial transformations since the late 1980s. This necessitates a reevaluation of sustainability’s relevance in the first half of the 21st century and its implications for the future.

In alignment with the vision of ISDRS’s new journal, the conference’s central theme, ‘Sustainability and Beyond’, aims to examine the evolution of the concept of sustainable development and its relevance for future generations. Visionary keynote speakers and interdisciplinary discussions will provide a platform to identify and critically analyze the most pressing global trends and their sustainability implications and to consider innovative perspectives and ideas.

Call for Abstracts

Abstracts for oral or poster presentations are welcome. Please select one of the conference’s thematic tracks and learn about the objectives and expectations of your track before submitting an abstract.

Abstracts should be submitted through the Oxford Abstracts platform of the conference. To access the platform, please, click for oral and poster abstract submission. You can use your existing log-in details to enter the site if you used the platform before or please, register on Oxford Abstracts to upload your submission.

Call for Special Tracks

The conference will feature traditional ISDRS tracks, complemented by a limited number of special tracks. Proposals for special tracks should align with the conference theme, “Sustainability and Beyond,” and adopt an interdisciplinary approach. We encourage innovative formats to foster discussion and idea exchange rather than conventional presentations. Please, include the following information when developing a proposal for a special track:

  • Title and aims of the proposed track
  • Chair(s) of the track
  • The innovative format of the track
  • How can the track foster interdisciplinary interaction among participants of the conference?
  • How does the track address the special topic of the conference?
  • List of planned contributions to the special track (e.g. speakers, presentations, etc.)

Proposals should be prepared in a pdf format not exceeding 600 words.
Chairs are responsible for the invitation of presenters/speakers and the implementation of the track.

Please, contact the organizers if you have any questions relating to special track proposals.
